What is Near Infrared?

A type of electromagnetic wave that is invisible to humans and has a longer wavelength than visible light. Near-infrared rays have no color or heat characteristics, but are most easily absorbed by objects. Also, this near infrared light is a safe light that is also included in sunlight.
