When operating in a phase control method, the current is delayed until the thyristor’s point arc, causing reactive power. For single-phase thyristors, the phase angle is 90°, the phase angle is 100° for a 3-phase thyristor, and 32% in a single phase and 25% in 3-phase.
When improving power factor using a progressive capacitor, it will be selected according to the output ratio.
In the case of zero-cross control, there is no need to consider because it has a power factor of 100%.
