Answer
The emissions of the company, as well as upstream and downstream emissions, are calculated by dividing them into three Scopes.
Scope 1 is direct greenhouse gas emissions by the business itself.
Scope 2 is indirect emissions from the use of electricity, heat, and steam supplied by other companies.
Scope 3 is indirect emissions other than Scope 1 and 2, and emissions of other companies related to the business’s activities.
